Campus relationships are at least more serious than high school relationships, that we can all agree. And statistics have it that most girls lose their virginity while in campus (I'm tempted to ask a lady reading this, is it true? Ha-ha). However, in campus every Isaac, Ernest, and Stephen has a reason fueling their need to be in a relationship. For some, especially Ernest (pun intended), all they want is to shag a girl who makes their Wally hard and drooling with spooge, and call it a day. No serious strings attached. Some ladies too, for the first time they are in campus and away from helicopter parenting, they want to be adventurous and see if Ernest is a good boy; whether he does his assignments well.
But for some, they are sincerely after a true relationship which they have committed to working on diligently to make it work. But considering that most likely at campus both partners are on the same level (not earning), then does the love hold on after graduation and after life changes drastically? The same question was asked on STUONLINE Buzz Q and A platform, and this confession by one of our app users caught our attention. Have a read:
I relate to the pain of losing someone you loved so much and thought the two of you would marry. I started dating him as soon as we joined first year. I lost my virginity to him in second year. I even introduced him to my parents over the long holiday, because I was sure he was the one. No one could convince me otherwise; for me the match had been made in heaven. He was a good guy, he introduced me to his parents too. We had great sex on a weekly basis, and countless kisses that shone sunshine into my life. We promised each other to get married and grow old together. After we graduated (from STU) we went on with the relationship but the more the jobless life after campo became frustrating, the more our communication scaled off. I tried my best to keep up but his desire for me was slowly fading. We finally broke up. Ok, now I have a guy, the seventh I've had since we broke up. But I miss my first love and right now, I advise all of you not to have any hopes of marriage if it's a campus relationship
